We haven’t heard anything about Dontnod Entertainment’s next narrative-driven, episodic game, Twin Mirror, since it was announced last year. It was revealed and seemed to have a more enigmatic vib,e much more in line with their breakout hit, Life is Strange, than its relatively more grounded sequel. It seems there could be a reason for that, as the game has seemingly hit a snag in the road and has now been officially delayed to next year. It also seems how PC players will get the game has changed.
In a press release, Dontnod announced the delay, and also that they had partnered with Epic to release the PC version of the game exclusively on the Epic Games Store for a 12-month window. It also mentioned that now the company owns the IP for Twin Mirror, though it still seems that Bandai Namco will publish the game. Whether or not this also means the game is no longer episodic (something that has proven problematic for their currently running Life is Strange 2) is unclear.
Twin Mirror will release sometime in 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
