Ubisoft Clue Hints At Late November Release for Xbox One

Kotaku puts its brains to the problem.

Sony went ahead and announced a release date for its upcoming PlayStation 4 console at Gamescom, but we still don’t have a definite time frame from Microsoft for the Xbox One launch beyond just ‘November’ for the thirteen countries that it is launching in.

However, today we got a new hint regarding the time period that makes the launch window just a little more specific. Namely, Microsoft went ahead and listed all the games that will be available on the Xbox One day one. These include Call of Duty: Ghosts, which launches November 5, but also Watch Dogs, which launches November 19 on all systems, reports Kotaku.

The automatic implication from these two separate pieces of knowledge is that the earliest the Xbox One can launch is November 19, or Microsoft would not have specified it having Watch Dogs available from day one (not unless it was launching on Xbox One before, but then Microsoft would have made it a point to hype that up as well, especially to counter Sony’s ‘we have exclusive Watch Dogs levels!’ spiel).

The Xbox One is therefore probably launching between November 19 and November 29, which is Black Friday day- which gives us a much better estimation of the system’s launch date than what we had before.
