Ubisoft Hit With DDoS Attacks Across Multiple Games and Services

It might be a good idea to play their games in offline mode for now.

Today is the launch of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which means it should be day of celebration for Ubisoft fans. However, it seems like someone or the other decided they wanted to ruin the party. Ubisoft has confirmed on its official support account on their forums today that they are being hit by multiple DDoS (direct denial of service) attacks, which should cause issues across their games for many users.

Those issues, according to Ubisoft, can include server latency, lag, and connectivity issues. The company has confirmed the problem started yesterday (see tweet below), and that it is taking steps to mitigate the issue. Still, if you’re playing Ubisoft games today, it may be best to play them in offline mode (unless it’s something like The Division, The Crew, or Rainbow Six: Siege, in which case all you can do is wait for the problem to be fixed).

Hopefully, the company can get a handle on whatever the problem is ahead of the weekend.
