UK Game Charts: Call of Duty Ghosts Debuts at Number 1

Infinity Ward fends off competition from Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag in the UK.

The latest UKIE game charts courtesy of Gfk Chart-Track are in and to no one’s surprise, Call of Duty: Ghosts has debuted at number 1 across all formats. This comes off the news that Activision sold more than $1 billion at retail, thus making it all the more obvious.

Battlefield 4 managed to hang on to second place, while previous week’s number one Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag fell to third place. FIFA 14 is still at fourth and Grand Theft Auto V has maintained its stranglehold on the top 5 by remaining at fifth place.

Batman: Arkham Origins, WWE 2K14, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, Football Manager 2014 and Skylanders Swap Force make up the remainder of the top 10. We knew it would be a fight between the big blockbusters this season and we haven’t been disappointed yet. Check out our reviews for Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4 and Football Manager 2014 to learn more about the best (and worst) aspects of each.
