Ex-Naughty Dog director Bruce Straley has announced the founding of his own game studio, dubbed Wildflower Interactive. Straley is known for his work as director on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and The Last of Us.
Straley has released an announcement video for Wildflower Interactive, talking about his motivations for founding the new studio after his departure from Naughty Dog back in 2017. Straley states that his motivation for Wildflower Interactive was because he couldn’t stop thinking about an idea for a game.
“And I realized, I need to make this game,” said Straley in the video. “But if I’m going to make this game it means I have to build a team. And if I build a team, I have to build a company. And, well if we’re going to do that, then we have to do it the right way.”
