Uncharted 4 Doesn’t Have Multiplayer Split Screen Planned But Not Completely Ruled Out

Naughty Dog has said there's a chance it could come at some point.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End won’t have split screen when it comes to the multiplayer mode at this point, but Naughty Dog says that could change in the future. The comments were made during a Livestream on Twitch by Lead Designer Robert Cogburn.

Cogburn said the reason the company isn’t looking to bring this kind of feature to Uncharted 4 right now is because it’s, “technically challenging.” He added there are many challenges and hurdles that would have to be overcome before the company thought about adding the feature to the title.

This information is just the latest little tidbit Naughty Dog has let slip when talking about the multiplayer mode in the game. One of the reasons the split screen feature is being left out is because it would have likel yet again delayed the release of the game. Naughty Dog doesn’t want any more delays but might add the feature after launch.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is coming exclusively to the PS4 on May 10.
