Uncharted 4 Will Run At 30FPS During Single Player, 60fps In Multiplayer

Damn it.

When The Last of Us: Remastered released last year, Naughty dog would not stop waxing eloquent about 60 FPS (the improved framerate that the remaster boasted over the PS3 original), and they even had the confidence to announce that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (the first, and seemingly only) entry in their flagship franchise on the PS4, would also be running at 60 frames- an assertion they gradually began to distance themselves from as time went on.

Until now, finally, they have confirmed that the game will be running at 30 frames per second after all. Fans will still have to experience Nate’s final adventure in 30 frames.

The good news is, it sounds like they are aiming to get the framerate up in multiplayer at least- it sounds like they have managed to get it running at 59.97 frames already, so 60 frames isn’t much of a stretch at this point.

I just wish the single player also managed to hit that.
