The successor to Uncharted 3, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End looks absolutely spectacular. It just goes to show the amount of technical prowess the PlayStation 4 has. But as you can understand, making fantastic trailers take time and it was no different in the case of Uncharted 4.

Eric Baldwin who is the cinematic lead, spoke about how Naughty Dog are managing motion capture for Uncharted 4. “Definitely motion capture. Except for the fly. 😉 Performance capture is the base for our performances,” Eric tweeted.

Furthermore he believes that this was a team effort. “It was  huge team effort. Characters, rendering, fx, background, programming, editorial, all insanely talented,” he tweeted. On the other hand, Josh Scherr, Uncharted’s Cinematics Animation Lead  revealed that the “teasers was animated almost entirely by cinematics lead Eric Baldwin, including the facial animation.”

And finally the lead programmer at Naughty Dog, Christian Gyrling was all praise for the PlayStation 4 following the reveal of Uncharted 4.
