Coldwood’s Unravel may have been one of the most unexpected surprises coming out of E3 2015, that too at EA’s press conference. The indie title comes from a relatively unknown team comprised of 14 individuals but impressed the world with its beautiful art style, intriguing tone and premise and unorthodox gameplay.
Creative director Martin Sahlin was in a recent interview on Sony’s official PlayStation channel as part of the ongoing live coverage at E3. Some gameplay footage was also showcased which gave us a peak at Yarny’s abilities. The objective of each “level” seems to rely on a finite amount of string, which must be used to make it to the end. There’s still a lot more that Sahlin and his team are yet to reveal, including the overall story and we can’t wait to find out more.
Unravel currently doesn’t have a release date. Stay tuned for more details as E3 rolls on.
