Until Dawn Script Ended Up 10,000 Pages Long

Only a small fraction of that number ended up in the game though.

Supermassive’s Until Dawn has proven to be one of the better PS4 exclusives available now but it went through a long arduous process of development since its initial announcement. This is due to it originally releasing on the PS3 with PS Move before heading to the PS4. As a result of this, the game’s script turned out to be long.

So long in fact that when speaking to Kotaku, writers Graham Reznick and Larry Fessenden revealed that they wrote 10,000 pages in total since joining the project in 2011. The changes to the game of course affected what actually made it and the final script is actually a small portion of the initial 10,000 pages. Nonetheless, given Until Dawn’s story structure which inspires you to decide the fate of its cast in a multitude of ways, there’s still plenty of story to be had.

Until Dawn released last month on the PS4 and received a positive critical and commercial reception. What are your thoughts on the game? Let us know below.
