Gran Turismo 6 launched late last year exclusively for the PlayStation 3, and maybe it is that fact, when considered in context of the PlayStation 4 (which is not backwards compatible with the PS3 or any of its games, incidentally) launch, or maybe Gran Turismo 5 really did a number on most people’s perception of the franchise, but it was the least well received title of the series till date, leaving both critics and consumers alike cold.
But Polyphony Digital, for their part, remain committed to the game, and they just released a pretty hefty update for it which adds a fair few things. These include new Community features, which make it possible for players to create Clubs and gather together in club lobbies, host race events for the club members and much more; new cars, including the Subaru VIZIV GT Vision Gran Turismo; and updates to the tracks.
It’s a pretty big update, and best of all, it’s free. It weighs in, surprisingly enough, at just 548MB, so it shouldn’t break the bank as far as your hard drive space goes.
