Stunlock Studios’ sandbox action RPG V Rising is getting free weekend on PC, starting September 12th at 10 AM PST and ending on September 16th. Steam players can dive in during that period and experience the entire game solo or with friends.
V Rising had a five-year development cycle, entering early access in 2022. With the launch of Version 1.0, the title received new end-game zone in the Ruins of Mortium, fresh discoveries and bosses, and three new difficulty options. The title will also go on sale from September 12th to 24th, with cosmetic DLCs discounted by 20 percent, for those sticking around after the free weekend ends.
As of April 2024, V Rising has sold four million copies and launched for PS5 on June 11th. Regarding the future, the developer teased some announcements for this Fall. It hasn’t outlined the future post-Version 1.0’s launch, though there have been several hotfixes to fix lingering bugs and other issues. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
