It seems we have a lot more information on the supposed Valve’s Steam Box and according to a German site Golem.de, the console will be released this year.
It is also said that it will be Linux-based and won’t be running on Windows. It’s also a bit logical because Microsoft won’t give them a license to Windows because it will become a direct comeptitor to the Xbox, so it looks likely that it will run on Linux, which was also confirmed by Valve engineer Ben Krasnov.
