Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Crosses 1 Million Units Sold

Extremely well deserved success.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has crossed 1 million units sold, developer Fatshark announced today. This is an amazing feat for a niche game that launched exclusively on PC—but given that it’s an actual really good loot game, on a platform where good loot games (so not Destiny 2) do well, this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone.

Which isn’t to belittle its achievement! For a smaller game by a smaller team, this is an amazing result, and hopefully, the game continues its success in the coming weeks, because I feel like it deserves every bit of it. To keep the pace of sales going, Fatshark has announced that the game will be available for 10% off starting today. They also confirmed that the five top countries playing the game are the United States of America, China, Russia, Germany and the United Kingdom, in that order—which is a very diverse player base.

Console versions of the game will be available later this year, with a beta test for PS4 and Xbox One due to go live in Spring.
