Sony worldwide studios’ boss, Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that the Vita will have an external battery attachment. Currently the Vita is confirmed to have about 3-5 hours of battery life.
“If you have noticed, we have just announced the peripherals for PS Vita. And one of the peripherals is the external battery. That extends the battery life of PS Vita,” Yoshida mentioned to IGN.
“So if you’re flying from New York to San Francisco, or vice versa, you have no concerns if you have an additional external battery.”
This is good news for people who want a bit more battery life from the Vita, but it doesn’t come for cheap. The Vita will launch on December 17th in Japan.
