Warface: Crytek Announces 25 Million Registered Users

Warface sees a significant milestone within just two years of its launch.

Crytek’s free to play shooter Warface may be only two years old, having launched in Russia in 2012, but it now has 25 million registered users according to the developer.

Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli stated that, “Warface is part of our games-as-service model, which means the game thrives off and revolves around our community. We look forward to delivering more of the great gameplay experiences that they have come to expect, and can promise the growing ranks of Warface fans that the franchise still has lots of surprises in store.”

Of course, active and concurrent numbers of players are more important than the overall total but it’s still a worthy achievement. Currently, Warface is open beta for the Xbox 360 with a full release available some time this year. What are your thoughts on Warface and the on-going beta? Is it worth investing in, especially with the number of multiplayer first person shooters out there? Let us know in the comments.
