Chucklefish’s Wargroove, a tribute to the turn-based tactics of Nintendo’s Advance Wars, may be receiving a release date soon. Over on Twitter the developer was talking about the number of languages that the title would be available to play in. When asked about release date information, the developer replied that it would be coming “very soon”.
Interestingly, more details on the game beyond its release date would be coming “even sooner” (though it added another “soon” after that, so we’re not sure how soon it will actually be). Wargroove was originally meant to release in early 2018 but was delayed to Q1 2019. It stands to reason that any new details would have to be provided by either January or February. Perhaps in the rumoured upcoming Nintendo Direct?
Wargroove is in development for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It provides twelve different commanders to choose from, with separate campaigns, a map editor, “linking” different overworld missions to provide branching campaigns, and local/online multiplayer. Stay tuned for more information on the game in the coming weeks/months.
