Yesterday we reported that Koei Tecmo and Omega Force were teasing something. As many speculated based on the teaser video, the game in question was a new entry in the Warriors Orochi series in the form of Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate.
Revealed via Weekly Famitsu, The game will be an updated version of the previously released Warriors Orochi 4. It will include several tweaks to the base gameplay, new side quests, unique magic, and story sections. The game will also include new playable characters in the form of Gaia, a new God enemy that uses a Hecatoncheires as a weapon, and for a real blast from the past, Joan of Arc based on her Bladestorm version, a game Koei Tecmo produced many years ago in the Warriors style based on western history, specifically The 100 Year War (thanks to Gematsu for translations).
The PlayStation 4 and Switch versions of Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate will release in December, with the PC version coming in February 2020. No mention was made of a Xbox One version, but usually the Japanese release skips that SKU. It will most likely come out in the west on with the other console versions at the end of the year. The game will come as both a standalone release and an upgrade pack for those who already own the base Warriors Orochi 4.
