InXile Entertainment’s Wasteland 3 started its crowd-funding campaign on Fig less than 24 hours ago and the project has already garnered $1,888,125 with a goal of $2,750,000 courtesy of 8,770 backers. The developer has released the first gameplay video of the sequel to hype up what fans can expect.
Along with dialogue choices and a new snow-covered setting, we get to see one of the newer features – vehicles – in action. Along with increased firepower courtesy of a turret, the vehicles can be used for faster movement, transporting resources and even as cover during fights. Wasteland 3 will also feature co-op support, a first for the series.
The key difference in backing Wasteland 3 on Fig as opposed to Kickstarter for Wasteland 2 is that backers can actually invest in the former. You can check out the game’s campaign pitch tomorrow for more information. Wasteland 3 is set to release simultaneously for Xbox One, PS4, PC, Mac and Linux though a release date still seems a ways off.
