InXile Entertainment’s Wasteland 3 has already managed to pass its funding goal of $2.75 million after launching its campaign on October 5th. It currently sits at $2.823 million in just three days on Fig and is still set to gross more as the campaign ends on November 3rd.
Brian Fargo, CEO of inXile Entertainment, stated that, “Wasteland 3 represents the most ambitious title that we have crowdfunded so far. We wouldn’t be here without our fans and backers carrying the torch and we want to continue to repay them by making the best role-playing games possible. With Wasteland 3 we aim to over-deliver like never before.”
Taking place in Colorado and presenting a snow-covered setting, Wasteland 3 features a bevy of new additions including co-op (which can be asynchronous, allowing players to venture out on their own if friends are offline), vehicles, a better action system and the new Ranger Base.
Wasteland 3 will be out on PC, Mac OS X, Linux, PS4 and xbox One. Stay tuned for more details on its crowd-funding in the coming weeks.
