Nvidia is on a ray-tracing kick today, showcasing the affect of RTX technology on games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Ubisoft’s open world opus Watch Dogs: Legion also gets the ray-traced treatment with comparisons on how the game looks without it. Check the trailer out below.
Ray-tracing allows for much more realistic reflections for puddles, cars, buildings and much more. This makes for a much more realistic London, overall, though it’s arguably the gameplay scale of Watch Dogs: Legion that still has us impressed. You can essentially recruit anyone in the game to join DedSec as you fight to take back the city from oppression. Despite this sandbox-heavy mechanic, Ubisoft has assured players that the story is still big deal.
Watch Dogs: Legion is out on March 6th 2020 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It’ll make an appearance at Gamescom in a theater presentation so it’s likely we’ll see more gameplay revealed. Stay tuned for more details and impressions in the coming months.
