A sailboat caught in the ravenous tides in the eye of a storm? Sign us up! But TomorrowHead Studio’s WILL: Follow the Light is more than just a game that involves traversing harsh conditions in the Arctic. It’s a story about a father searching for his lost son, reminiscing on the bond (or lack thereof) he shares with his own dad. Of course, that search takes you across snowy mountains, icy seas, and quaint towns as you navigate a very unforgiving world.
Even more unforgiving is the narrative that’s shaping to be quite an insightful look into how a father and son can grow closer or more distant from each other over the years. Pretty heavy stuff, we know, but it could be quite tasteful if handled correctly.
The launch trailer, showcased below, is a great example of what to expect from this title, and we’re particularly interested in getting control of that sled so we can speed across snowy terrain without a care in the world. Besides our missing son, that is.
This one looks like it might pull on your heartstrings more than you’d care to admit, and it’s available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
