Windows 10 is Releasing This Summer

The next big addition to Microsoft's OS line is due soon.

Microsoft’s Windows 10 finally has a release window. It will be out this Summer in 111 languages across 190 countries and will be a free upgrade to Windows 7/8.1 owners.

Windows 10 is considered to be the company’s next true evolution of the operating system, serving as a unified interface for multiple platforms and featuring DirectX 12 for improved graphical performance. For gamers, it will serve as the main vehicle for cross platform gaming on the PC and Xbox One with games like Fable: Legends. Microsoft has hinted that other Xbox exclusive franchises could come to Windows 10 somewhere down the line.

DirectX 12 is another big addition as all signs point to it increasing graphical performance significantly. If that weren’t enough, Xbox Live will also be available on Windows 10 in an effort by Microsoft to push gaming on the PC.
