The WWE series has failed to get off the ground ever since 2K got hold of the license, but it feels like the series is at its lowest point right now, with the recent release of WWE 2K20. The game’s been critically panned universally from critics and players alike, for everything from mediocre gameplay to the sorry technical state it has launched in. It’s fair to say that there’s more than just a bit of backlash against the game out there right now- and rightly so.
Developers Visual Concepts have responded to that backlash, however. Taking to Twitter via the series’ official account, the developers said that they are “listening closely to the feedback”, and that they are “aware of the concerns” that players are bringing up. They give assurances that they’re looking into the issues and working on fixes for the same, before confirming that a patch for the game will be inbound within the next couple of weeks, followed by more updates later on.
WWE 2K20 is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In our own review of the game, we said that the game is “rotten on the inside and broken at its core”, criticizing it for its lacklustre gameplay, bland visuals, and a bevy of technical issues. Read our full review through here.
