Xbox Division Boss Upbeat About NPD Sales Win, Addresses Halo 5 PC Requests

Phil Spencer gives credit to gamers and Xbox team.

Microsoft has had a pretty good week. After restating Project Scorpio as the most powerful console ever made following the PS4 Pro’s reveal, The NPD Group reported that the Xbox One outsold the PS4 again in August across the United States (thanks in part to the efforts of the Xbox One S).

Xbox division head honcho Phil Spencer reacted to the news on Twitter, stating that, “A lot of this week isn’t about our actions. NPD was the gamers, thank you for the support.”

He further gave credit to the Xbox team for their hard work. “A lot of this week isn’t about our actions. NPD was the gamers, thank you for the support.”

Addressing concerns of Xbox employees throwing shade at Sony following the PS4 Pro release, Spencer noted that, “I’ve been public about my dislike of the negative dialog. We should stay focused on what we are building for Xbox gamers.”

Finally, though Halo 5’s Forge tools are now available for Windows 10, there’s still a desire to play the game’s campaign mode on PC. Spencer said, “I think that’s totally fair and you have every right to state your opinion on that, I get it and we are listening.”
