Xbox E3 Show This Year Will Be The Same Length As Always, Phil Spencer Suggests

Surely a new console reveal takes up some time.

This year’s E3 promises to be interesting: EA and Sony are sitting it out entirely, Bethesda is attending, but not bringing their biggest games along for the ride, Ubisoft will have show, and we know Nintendo will be there in some capacity, but with no specifics. Microsoft, however, plans to stay the course, which makes sense given how well it went for them last year.

Speaking on Twitter in response to a fan query, Xbox boss Phil Spencer confirmed that he will aim for a similar length for the Xbox conference this year as always, also noting that in the end, content is what will drive the show (if they have as much quality content to show as last year, I think people will be happy).

I am personally interested in seeing how Xbox plans to go about E3 this year—their newly engorged first party is unlikely to have anything to show just yet, and third parties themselves seem to be winding down as the generation approaches its presumed end. Maybe a tease for the next gen Xbox console would get people hyped, right Microsoft?
