Xbox Fans Getting Cancellation Emails For E3 2017 FanFest, Microsoft Looking Into It

Major Nelson on the case.

This year, Microsoft won’t just be planning for its E3 2017 presser taking place on June 11th. It will also host its Xbox Fanfest, allowing lucky players to attend the presser as well receive hands-on time with upcoming games (not to mention Project Scorpio).

However, those who are already locked in for the Xbox Fanfest have been receiving cancellation mails for the same. A Reddit user received cancellation mail which also came with a three month subscription to Xbox Live Gold. Thankfully, Xbox Live director of programming Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb chimed in on the same thread, stating that, “This is unfortunate. The right folks are looking into this. Thanks for bearing with us.”

Whether that means fans who have received cancellation mails will still be able to attend the Xbox Fanfest or not remains to be seen. Have you received such a mail? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for updates.
