Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Are Available for $2 For New Members

You can get them for this reduced price until August 31.

Microsoft is sweetening the pot for new customers to sign up for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass, its two subscription services on Xbox One. Ordinarily costing $60 a year and $10 a month respectively, Microsoft is offering them for $2 for two months for people who sign up for them by August 31.

The store lists the price as $2 for one month for each, but when you check out, the extra month seems to get added for no charge. If you’re an Xbox owner, it might be worth it to jump into these services if you haven’t already, particularly with Forza Horizon 4 coming up- like all Microsoft games, it will be available day and date on Xbox Game Pass, so you don’t even have to buy it, technically speaking, as long as you retain your Game Pass subscription. Even beyond that, Game Pass’ catalog of games is absolutely massive, so it’s definitely worth the entry fee.

For now, though, this seems to be only for new subscribers- if you are already subscribed, you will not get this price. Which is a shame, but it is what it is, I suppose.
