Xbox May Update Adds 120 Hz Refresh Rate Support, Ability To Group Games And Apps, And More

A whole bunch of changes will be added with the May update.

Quite a few great features such as variable refresh rate were added to the Xbox One in its April update. Now, the Xbox team is working hard for an upcoming update in May and while none of these bring any major changes, they certainly add some quality-of-life improvements such as 120 Hz refresh rate support, the ability to group games and apps, and more.

Those whose monitors support 120 Hz refresh rate can now make use of this thanks to the new update. The ability to group games and apps together is a feature that players have been asking for a while. Now, players can group games together and order and customize the names of these groups as they wish.

However, this feature won’t be enabled just yet for everyone in the Alpha phase, and will only become available later once feedback has been collected. There are quite a few other changes as well including the ability to trim screenshots and videos before sharing them online, improved family settings, intuitive button commands, and improvements to the Xbox accessories app.
