Xbox One: April Update Improves Party Chat, Achievements And Game hub Links

The updates are rolling out and worth checking out.

Speaking by way of a blog post, Major Nelson (Larry Hryb) has confirmed that the Xbox One’s April update, that preview program members can now view, will be rolled out in two waves. The first set of updates are available already, going live as of March 20th, and the rest will be coming out later next week. So what’s in this first wave of updates?

Well Party Chat is being improved with some troubleshooting guides being put in place for Xbox One owners and the Party App is also going to help you get your Microphone enabled. It will also show you if and when your privacy settings or network issues are blocking communication with members of your party.

Thanks to the Game Hub Links, users can now discover content from activity feed items, these show up when you or any of your friends follow a game, any posts related to this game can bring you to that games hub. You can also navigate to a games hub by way of the Achievements app.

Achievement Notifications are being improved as well with a long awaited feature. When an achievement pops, you’re going to find out what you did to unlock it without needing to launch the Achievements app. If you do decide to launch the Achievements app, you may notice performance improvements that will allow the app to operate faster.
