Microsoft had begun rolling out the April update for Xbox One but this was only the first phase. The second phase of the update, which is open to those in the Preview program, will be adding even more intriguing features like voice messages.
You’ll be able to record and send voice messages when snapping the messages app to your friends. Just tap the Xbox button and you’ll be able to record the message. Voice messages can also be sent between Xbox One and Xbox 360 users. One of the cooler features the update will offer is dedicated servers for party chat. Given the number of users who’ve had issues with party chat, this is perhaps the best new addition in the update. Those who are unable to make use of P2P will instead use dedicated servers for communication.
Other additions, especially in the What’s On section, are on the way and along with testing experiences for United States members, the feature will be available in Canada and UK as well. What are your thoughts on the second phase of the update? Let us know in the comments.
