Xbox boss Phil Spencer has been speaking on the Major Nelson podcast about the Xbox One and Microsoft’s upcoming E3 booth. Microsoft recently announced that they would be moving their conference from their regular early Monday time slot every year to late Sunday evening this time around, while also moving to a smaller booth and different hall altogether. This raised some speculation regarding the company’s commitment but Spencer says that Microsoft remain as committed as ever to E3.
“We moved the booth,” Spencer said. “We’re in a different hall. People have done the math, but there’s no conspiracy theory behind the booth size. We know consumers are coming into the booth this year, so our booth will probably feel a little different than it has in the past.”
“We’re gonna learn, so bear with us everybody that’s gonna be there,” he continued. “We’re trying to make a booth that will allow more people to play as many games, and getting our meeting rooms and everything else out of the way. It shows no lack of commitment to E3. I think E3 is an incredibly important point for our industry, and something that we’re committed to make great. And I can’t wait to see all of our fans down there.”
