Xbox One “Do Not Disturb” Feature In Active Testing

Sometimes you want some single player game time.

While the Xbox platform built its name around connected experiences, there are doubtlessly times when you might just want to get lost within one of the many glorious 4K worlds you can enjoy on the system. For these people who want to even for a few hours hermit themselves away from their friends and all the goings on of Xbox Live, it seems Microsoft is working on the feature you’ve been screaming for.

Alpha Insiders recently got a new firmware build to play with which among a few other features, allows players to set their status as “Do not Disturb”. The feature will automatically stops notifications from popping, keeping those pesky PUBG invites from interrupting your time enjoying ReCore.

The update also improves the New Achievements feature, showing within the guide which achievement you’re closest to per game and allowing you to drill down further. The game hubs feature has also been brought to the pop-up guide, just in a tiny form. Sony introduced an appear offline feature in 2016 with firmware 3.50, but has no equivalent feature quite like this.
