Whether it’s because Playground Games’ Forza Horizon 2 is out next week or because Microsoft is feeling extra competitive, Microsoft has provided a price for the Xbox One in the UK. The console originally retailed for £350 and is now retailing for £329 on both the Microsoft Store and Amazon. To make things more appealing – since it’s the next major release for the console – the white Xbox One bundle with Sunset Overdrive will also cost £329.
There is another bundle though which includes a digital code for FIFA 15 when it launches on September 26th and it retails for £349.99. Regardless, the Xbox One without Kinect is now cheaper than the PlayStation 4 in the UK. Will that help it’s success down the line? That really remains to be seen at this point.
Along with Forza Horizon 2 and Sunset Overdrive, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Project Spark will be out on the Xbox One in the coming months. Thoughts on the price cut? Let us know in the comments.
