Along with Comcept’s ReCore, Microsoft has begun its Xbox Play Anywhere initiative.
Revealed at E3 2016, this feature allows you to buy a game digitally on either the Xbox One or Windows 10 and receive a free copy on the other platform. Your progress, including saves, DLC and Achievements, will carry over between the two platforms thus allowing you to shift between them at your leisure.
Other games that will support Xbox Play Anywhere include Forza Horizon 3 (out on September 27th), Sea of Thieves, Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2, Scalebound, State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3. It’s also been confirmed that titles like Cuphead, We Happy Few and ARK: Survival Evolved will also support the initiative. Expect more such Xbox One-favoured titles to support Xbox Play Anywhere in the coming months.
