The schedule for Tokyo Game Show 2020, which will be happening online this year, has been revealed and surprisingly, Microsoft will be kicking it off with an Xbox showcase. However, it seems that more details on the Xbox Series X and long-rumored Xbox Series S could be coming sooner. According to industry insider Klobrille, “relevant” Xbox news would be coming earlier.
A later tweet then stated “Xbox Series X|S” which could indicate details on both consoles. Take this with a grain of salt, as usual, but Klobrille’s track record has been fairly good as of late. Back in July, they correctly reported that Fable would be revealed with an in-engine trailer rather than having a gameplay demo.
Details on the Xbox Series S hardware have been rumored and leaked over the past few months with the latest stating that its GPU has 20 CUs running at 1.55 GHz. Meanwhile, Microsoft has already confirmed that the Xbox Series X will release in November but hasn’t provided date. Rumors peg it for an early November launch but perhaps an official date will be coming soon. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
