There have been more than a few examples of prices for gaming hardware and software seeing hikes either in some specific markets or all around the world, and Microsoft hasn’t necessarily sat that one out. After having increased Xbox Series X/S prices in Japan by about 5,000 yen for both consoles earlier this year, the company now seems to have done the same in Sweden as well.
The same was spotted by Gaming Deputy, which recently reported that on the official Xbox website, Xbox Series X/S are now listed for higher prices in Sweden than what they launched at. The Xbox Series X is now listed at SEK 6,195, which is up from SEK 5,695 (which is roughly a $50 increase), while the Xbox Series S is now priced at SEK 3,895, up from SEK 3,595 (roughly a $30 increase).
Microsoft hasn’t made an official statement yet regarding the change in these prices.
In December, the company confirmed that all of its future first party releases will be priced at $70, including the likes of Forza Motorsport, Redfall, and Starfield.
