Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Seemingly Has Lip Sync for Both Japanese and English Audio

Fans seem to have noticed a long-requested improvement in recent Xenoblade Chronicles 3 gameplay footage.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is launching in about a month’s time, so it goes without saying that excitement surrounding the open world RPG’s launch is continuing to ramp up. Recently, Nintendo revealed a ton of new details on its gameplay and story in a Direct presentation focused exclusively on the game, and as it turns out, eagle-eyed fans have been able to spot some interesting improvements in the footage that was shown off.

As spotted over on Twitter by @SuperSavajin, it seems like Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will feature proper lip syncing for both Japanese and English dialogue. The user has shared a clip that shows two versions of a scene showcasing different lip sync to match audio in both English and Japanese.

In case you’re unaware, this would be a first for Xenoblade Chronicles. Previous games in the series have often been criticized for the lip sync issues exactly due to deficiencies on this front, though it seems like the upcoming threequel is making amends. Given the sheer volume of voiced dialogue in these games, it would be an impressive addition.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is due out for the Switch on July 29. Nintendo has also announced an Expansion Pass for the RPG- read more on that through here.
