Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Will Likely Launch in 2023 – Rumour

Previous rumours have suggested that a new mainline game in the RPG series is in the works- though it might not be out until next year.

Xenoblade Chronicles as a series has moved from strength to strength in the last few years, with the Switch era having seen impressive growth for the series. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Definitive Edition both performed well from commercial and critical standpoints, and at this point, it seems sort of like a given that a new installment in the series is eventually going to arrive as well.

But it might not arrive for a while. In a recently uploaded video, known Nintendo leaker NateTheHate claimed that Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s development was affected by the COVID pandemic, while developer Monolith Soft is currently also working on fixing a number of technical issues in the game. According to the leaker, the game is likely to launch in 2023, though it might be able to make a late 2022 launch as well.

There have been a number of developments in recent months to suggest that a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is indeed coming. Last year, Jenna Coleman – the voice actress for Melia – seemed to suggest the same, following which reports claimed that the next game in the series was in its final development stages. Monolith Soft has also previously said that it wants to keep investing in the franchise. The series’ composer has also suggested that a new Xenoblade project is in the works.
