Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – “Future Connected” Epilogue is Set One Year Later

Playable from the start, the epilogue jumps ahead quite a bit.

Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition was one of the highlights of Nintendo’s last Direct presentation, serving as port for the 2010 Wii title. Though it won’t feature the 3DS version’s exclusive features, it will have a new epilogue called “Future Connected”. In a new tweet by Nintendo of Europe, it was revealed that the epilogue will take place one year after the main game’s events.

That’s not much to go on but should be worth looking out for, especially considering how the first game ends. It was already confirmed that Future Connected will be playable from the outset so those who have already played the base story can jump right in. Expect more details to crop up in the coming weeks.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition releases on May 29th for the Nintendo Switch. Along with the new epilogue, it features heavily revamped graphics and a remastered soundtrack. You can also expect gameplay improvements though these haven’t been explicitly outlined just yet.
