Ys 8: Lacrimosa of Dana still hasn’t received a release date for PC but Xseed Games is already preparing to port another title to the platform with Ys: Memories of Celceta. Originally released on the PlayStation Vita in 2012 and later to the PC in China in 2015, Ys: Memories of Celceta is considered the “canon” version of Ys 4.
Why “canon”? Because there are two more versions of the game – Ys 4: Mask of the Sun and Ys 4: The Dawn of Ys. Nevertheless, this is the official version that’s been developed by Nihon Falcom which takes place one year after Ys 2 and prior to Ys: The Oath in Felghana. It will be coming to PC with options for remapping controls, improved visuals, an unlocked framerate and support for 1080p resolutions and above.
Ys: Memories of Celceta is out on PC this Summer. More information on the price, release date and pre-order bonuses along with gameplay footage should be revealed in the coming months.
