343 Industries Talks About Halo 5 Multiplayer For Xbox One

The experience is only going to keep evolving, according to Dan Ayoub.

343 Industries’ Dan Ayoub spoke about how Halo 4’s multiplayer seemed to feel more like Battlefield or Call of Duty than previous titles. Ayoub took the opportunity to speak about the direction the multiplayer is going in – particularly when Halo 5 releases for the Xbox One.

“I think the way I’d respond to that is that we’re going to be constantly evolving multiplayer. We had things we wanted to do with this when we started the game, and you’ve seen the beginning of an evolution – I don’t think that evolution is over. You’re going to continue to see innovations from us in multiplayer, so what I would say to that is: keep watching.”

“Those updates you refer to represent our commitment – we’re constantly going to support the community. We’ve obviously got a large audience playing Halo 4 multiplayer, and we want to continue to support them.

“We have a great dialogue with the community through Halo Waypoint, where we’re constantly hearing about what it is they like, what they want more of, all of that good stuff. And we monitor very closely who’s in the hoppers, who’s playing what, and you look at what’s on the message boards, and all of that data informs our decisions as to the tweaks we’re going to make,” he said to Official Xbox Magazine,

Microsoft revealed the next generation of Halo at its E3 presser but didn’t specify when it would come out, or whether it was actually Halo 5 or not.
