The Playstation Network was taken offline by Sony last Wednesday, and it appears it’s not only the online experience which has suffered as a result of this. Several Capcom games are unplayable, even offline.
Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 and The Final Fight/Magix Sword game pack both uses a form of copy protection which renders them unplayable without being connected to PSN. Therefore, gamers can’t play them until PSN resumes service.
Sony’s been very vague in revealing details as to what caused this downtime, but they’ve confirmed it’s because of an “external intrusion” and the matter might take more time, before being resolved.
