A First-Party Xbox Game Will be Shadow Dropped on June 9 – Rumour

Microsoft has a number of first-party titles lined up for this year, including Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Avowed, and more.

Among the many events and showcases lined up for the next week or so, few are generating the kind of hype the Microsoft’s annual Xbox Games Showcase is, with the event, which is set for June 9, looking like it’s shaping up to be a packed one, with several major first-party announcements seemingly lined up for it.

One of those, in fact, is going to be released on the day of the event itself- at least, that’s as per known Xbox insider eXtas1s, who claimed in a recent video (via ResetEra) that one of the first-party games that Microsoft is going to show off at the Xbox Games Showcase is also going to be released on the very same day.

The insider didn’t mention which game the company intends to shadow drop, but the process of elimination would suggest that it’s going to be Stoic Studio’s co-op game Towerborne. Though one of several first-party Microsoft releases planned for this year, according to leaks, the majority of them – including the likes of Avowed, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – are planned for later in the year, which, paired with Towerborne’s smaller scale as a release, would suggest that a shadow drop on June 9 might not be completely out of the question.

Either way, it looks like we’ll know for sure one way or another not long from now, so stay tuned as more details emerge in the coming days.
