We haven’t seen an awful lot of A Plague Tale: Requiem since it was announced last year, and though its official release window is still sometime in 2022, gameplay and story details on Asobo Studio’s action-adventure sequel still remain scant. Some new information, however, seems to have emerged from a somewhat unlikely source.
As reported by PowerPyx, the Achievement list for A Plague Tale: Requiem’s PC version recently went live on GOG, hinting at some gameplay related details. Quite few are focused on progression, like fully upgrading alchemy, combat, stealth, gear, equipment, your crossbow (which we saw in the game’s last gameplay trailer), and more.
Speaking of alchemy, that also seems to be a larger part of the gameplay this time, while some Achievements also mention mechanics such as crafting ammunition, putting out fires, and more. There’s also mention of a minigame called Port, collectibles in the form of flowers and feathers, and memories of past events that you can seemingly find throughout the game, called “souvenirs”.
There might potentially be some story spoilers in the full Achievement list, so we’re not including it here, but you can check it out through the PowerPyx link above if you want.
A Plague Tale: Requiem is due out sometime this year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and as a cloud-exclusive release for the Nintendo Switch. Its Collector’s Edition was also recently unveiled- read more on that through here. Meanwhile, it’s also been confirmed that a TV series adaptation of A Plague Tale is also in the works.
