Alone in the Dark: Prologue is Now Available for Free

The prologue follows Grace Saunders as she's asked to deliver a letter to Emily Hartwood while a strange presence lingers in Derceto.

During a recent spotlight, THQ Nordic and Pieces Interactive revealed new gameplay for the upcoming Alone in the Dark reboot. In the meantime, a free playable prologue is available now for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and Steam. It sets up the main story while starring a different character named Grace Saunders.

Grace is approached by Jeremy Hartwood, Emily’s uncle in Derceto Manor, and asked to deliver a letter to his niece. Strange things occur as Grace explores a part of the manor where a strange “presence” seems to exert its influence. While there are no spoilers for the game, the Steam page teases a “special surprise” at the end.

Alone in the Dark is out on October 25th. The main game focuses on Emily Hartwood (played by Jodie Comer) and Edward Carnby (played by David Harbour) as they investigate Jeremy’s disappearance. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
