AMD Claims Their New GPU Will “Ridicule” Nvidia’s Titan

The GPU war rages on.

A prevalent and ongoing issue in the gaming world centers around one of gaming’s most crucial elements: Graphics. And the two main combatants in this graphics war are AMD and Nvidia. With both companies releasing new GPUs, the battle rages on.

AMD, it seems, is quite confident that their GPU, the R9290X, will blow those of Nvidia, the GTX780 and the GeForce GTX, right out of the water. AMD’s Product Manager Devon Nekechuck recently went on record saying the new GPU, “will definitely compete with the GTX 780 and Titan” and went as far as saying, “with Battlefield 4 running with Mantel (AMD’s new graphics API), the card will be able to ‘ridicule’ the Titan in terms of performance.”

Nekechuck continued his comments, stating that the AMD GP will run Battlefield 4 much faster than Titan as long as you use the new Mantel API, which will release in December.

As of yet, there has been no response to these claims from Nvidia. Thus far, Nvidia has remained on top, and we’re sure they won’t let themselves be outdone by AMD. The results should be fascinating. Stay tuned to Gamingbolt for more details.
