Animal Crossing: New Horizons Is Back on Top of the UK Charts

The life sim sees a 53 per cent jump in sales.

After a few weeks away from the top, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has once again claimed the pole position in the latest weekly UK charts for boxed video game sales (via GamesIndustry). The Switch exclusive enjoys 53 per cent week-on-week boost in sales, and overtakes FIFA 20, which itself had climbed back into the top spot last week.

Fellow Switch exclusive Ring Fit Adventure also continues its upward climb, thanks to a steady stream of restocks by Nintendo. After a 95 per cent increase in sales, it has jumped up to the fourth spot, below Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in third place. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Luigi’s Mansion 3 also saw increases in sales, but significantly smaller ones, of 10 per cent and 8 per cent respectively, at No. 7 and No. 9.

Grand Theft Auto 5, meanwhile, has climbed up to No. 5, swapping places with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in sixth place. Final Fantasy 7 Remake sees a 50 per cent dip in sales, falling to eighth place, while Resident Evil 3 drops out of the top 10 entirely.
