Anthem Livestream Delayed to April 23rd

"Unforeseen connection issues" have led to the delay.

Did you notice the distinct lack of a livestream for BioWare’s Anthem yesterday, especially when it was supposed to showcased the upcoming new Stronghold? According to BioWare on Twitter, the livestream has been delayed due to “unforeseen connection issues” in the streaming studio. More details will be provided next week.

The stream was meant to showcase The Sunken, free Stronghold coming to Anthem this month. It would have also presumably been used to showcase the Mastery System to expand on progression, new items, the Shaper Surge freeplay event, and so on. All of this is listed on the game’s roadmap for April, but a delay wouldn’t be out of the question.

The real question is if that will have an effect on the release of the game’s first Cataclysm, which is scheduled for May. Whether other issues like loot and the Elysian Stronghold Caches will be discussed remains to be seen. In the meantime, stay tuned for more details.
