Anthem Pre-Alpha Beginning Next Weekend, System Requirements Revealed

You can register for the pre-alpha now, though there won't be too many spots open.

For those of you who’re curious about checking in with the progress BioWare has made with Anthem’s development and seeing just how the upcoming shared-world shooter is coming along thus far, the game is going to open up pre-alpha testing next weekend, on December 8 and December 9.

You can register and put your name into the hate for the pre-alpha here, but Anthem’s executive producer Mark Darrah warns on Twitter that there won’t be too many spots overall. Apparently, the amount of traffic for the pre-alpha “crashed the registration site”, and Darrah reminds everyone that “this is intended as a tech test mainly”.

The PC system requirements for the game’s pre-alpha have also been revealed- you’re going to need 60 GB of free storage memory, along with an NVIDIA GTX 970 4GB or an AMD R9 390 8GB, among other things. You can check out the full system requirements below, but do keep in mind that these are for the pre-alpha only, and that they may very well end up changing for the final product.

If you don’t get into the pre-alpha, don’t worry- there will be a demo for Anthem close to month before its launch as well. The game itself releases for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 22, 2019. At The Game Awards next week, Anthem will be receiving a new trailer. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for continued coverage.

PRE-ALPHA SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
